What is a Furnace or Air Conditioning Probe?

The probe serves a critical function within HVAC systems by monitoring temperatures both within the furnace or air conditioner itself and in the external space it serves. This vital information is then leveraged by the system to maintain consistent operation and achieve the desired temperature settings.

What is a Temperature Sensor in an HVAC System?

Within any HVAC system, the temperature sensor stands out as a key element for climate control. It works by monitoring the current air and water temperatures within a given space and adjusts the heating or cooling output to align with established setpoints, ensuring optimal comfort.

Why is My Thermostat Temperature Sensor Not Working?

One common issue as to why your temperature sensor isn’t working is due to it being dirty. This can happen with many components in an HVAC system. Check your sensor if you’re noticing that your system isn’t sustaining your set temperature. Gently clean any dust away from the sensor by using a soft-bristle brush.
