AccuTemp Griddle Troubleshooting
AccuTemp griddle troubleshooting doesn’t have to be intimidating or frustrating. With the right knowledge, you can identify the root of most common issues and learn the proper steps to fix them quickly. That way your griddle can get back to sizzling up bacon or making the perfect fried egg.
The following guide can be used to troubleshoot the AccuTemp Electric G2 Griddle.
AccuTemp Griddle Troubleshooting
Unit Isn’t Turning On
- Make sure that the power cord is plugged in
- Verify that the outlet has power
- Check if the circuit breaker has tripped and reset as needed
Heat Light Won’t Come On
- If you have turned down the griddle temperature, the heat light won’t turn on again until the cooking surface goes below the set temp
- Check if the light turns on intermittently. The heat light will cycle on and off during normal operation
Uneven or Inaccurate Surface Temperature
- Make sure the griddle is level on all sides
- Verify the surface temperature with an accurate digital surface probe thermometer
- For further troubleshooting, contact an authorized service agent
Unit Won’t Turn Off
- This issue can only be resolved by an authorized service technician. Turn the griddle electrical supply off at the source immediately
Preset Temperatures Not Working
- Press each key momentarily to display the preset temperature. If these are correct and the unit isn’t regulating the presets, contact an authorized service agent for assistance
