A toasted muffin is a delicious and quick way to start the work day. The only thing stopping people from enjoying their breakfast of champions is a broken down toaster. Below we will help you through some Antunes muffin toaster troubleshooting, so you can get it back in working order. That way everyone can have their chocolate chip, banana nut or apple cinnamon muffin toasted and ready to go.

Toaster Not Working – No Heat, Fan Not Working


Cause


Solution

Unit has no power.

Make sure plug is locked into position
and the power is on. Check circuit breaker isn’t flipped.
 


Defective outlet or power cord.


Test that outlet is functional. Test the power cord in a different outlet and replace as needed.


Loose wire connections.


Check all wire connections and tighten.

Toaster Not Working - No Heat, Fan Working

Cause

Solution


Hi-limit thermostat is tripped or

defective.


Turn toaster off for 25-30 minutes, then press reset button. If that doesn’t work, replace the hi-limit thermostat.


Removable plate is scuffed or scratched.


Replace removable plate.


Removable plate is too dull/has excess carbon build-up.


Clean or replace removable plate.

Muffins Too Light or Too Dark

Cause

Solution


Muffins are refrigerated or frozen.


Make sure muffins are room temperature before toasting. Allow a 2 day old rotation when using fresh muffins.


Incorrect timer setting.


Adjust full or partial load timers as

needed.

Toaster Not Working - LED Light On and Rocker Switch Not Lit

Cause

Solution


Unit isn’t turned on.


Check that the power is on.


Circuit breaker tripped or off.


Reset the circuit breaker.


Rocker switch inoperable.


Replace rocker switch.


Poor plug to outlet connection.


Lock plug into outlet.


Damaged or defective power cord.


Inspect plug and pins. Replace if needed.


Damaged or defective outlet.


Check outlet and contact an electrician.


Loose electrical connection.


Contact a local authorized service agent.

Toaster Not Heating - Fan Working

Cause

Solution


Hi-limit control tripped or

defective.


Turn toaster off for 30 minutes, then reset. If hi-limit still trips, contact a local authorized service agent.


Loose/defective electrical connections.


Contact a local authorized service agent.


Heating element/coil broken/open.


Contact a local authorized service agent.


Solid state heater relay defective.


Contact a local authorized service agent.


Control board defective.


Contact a local authorized service agent.

Fan Not Working but Toaster Heating

Fan dirty or defective.


Clean or replace fan.

No Audio Signal but Ready Light Works

Cause

Defective audio signal.


Check audio diagnostic LED is on. Replace audio signal if LED on.

No Ready Light but Audio Signal Working

Cause

Defective ready light.


Check ready light diagnostic LED is on. Replace audio signal if LED on.

No Audio Signal or Ready Light

Cause

Control board defective.


Replace control board.

Front Door Won’t Open or Close Properly

Door push rod damaged.


Contact a local authorized service agent.

Heating Element/Coil Continuously On

Solid state relay defective.

Control board defective.

Half Element Coil Working

Cause

Solution


Loose/defective electrical wiring connection.


Check wiring connections at element/coil.


Heating element/coil broken/open.


Replace heating element/coil.

Beep Codes

Beep codes (error codes can happen during operation. All beep codes are followed by a 2 second pause, then repeated.

  • 2 beeps - The voltage is too low on the unit.
  • 3 beeps - Toaster temperature is over 750°F (400°C) after 30 minutes
  • 4 beeps - Toaster temperature is under 150°F (65°C) after 30 minutes
  • 5 beeps - The thermocouple is disconnected or broken.
