Garland Griddle Calibration Instructions
If you’re experiencing issues with cooking results, then a recalibration may be necessary. Doing this will ensure the dial maintains the temperature it’s set to. With these Garland griddle calibration instructions for your single sided production griddle, your unit will be back to a reliable performance you can trust.
This guide covers calibration for griddle and grooved griddle models.
Testing the Temperatures
- Step 1. Turn all griddle temperature control dials to 350℉.
- Note: In order to allow the temperature to stabilize, the controls must be allowed to cycle twice before taking a test reading.
- Step 2. Check the temperature reading when the control cycles “OFF” by placing the sensor firmly on the griddle surface directly above the sensing bulb of control. If the temperature doesn’t read within 15℉ of the dial setting, follow the Garland recalibration instructions below.
How to Begin Calibrating a Garland Griddle
- Step 3. Carefully remove the thermostat dial making sure the setting isn’t disturbed.
- Step 4. Hold the dial shaft steady with a screwdriver and turn the calibration screw located inside the dial shaft to change the temperature. Turn it clockwise to decrease and counterclockwise to increase the temperature setting.
- Step 5. Replace the thermostat dial and repeat steps 1 and 2 to ensure the correct adjustments have been made.
