When the time comes to change the filter in your Everpure water filtration system, you’ll want to follow the right steps. So how do you change an Everpure water filter and how often should you? Find out exactly what you need to know with our helpful guide.

Steps to Changing an Everpure Water Filter

  • Step 1. Turn off the water supply.
  • Step 2. Open the faucet to relieve pressure.
  • Step 3. Firmly grasp the filter housing and twist it to the left until it falls away.
  • Step 4. Pull the old filter down and out of the head.
  • Step 5. Align the new filter’s lug with the head label and insert it.
  • Step 6. Twist the new filter to the right until it stops rotating.
  • Step 7. Turn on the water supply and run water through the filter system to drain it.
  • Step 8. Check for leaks.
  • Step 9. Reset the filter indicator if applicable.

How Often Should I Change My Everpure Filter?

It’s recommended that you change out your Everpure filter once a year. On most systems, there’s a filter monitor that will let you know when that time comes. You should consider changing it earlier, however, if you notice a decrease in water flow or a change in the way your water tastes.
