How to Program an AccuTemp AccuSteam Griddle

Programming your AccuTemp AccuSteam griddle is important for maintaining consistent temperatures and streamlining your kitchen workflow. Whether you’re setting precise cooking temperatures, adjusting presets or enabling the lockout feature, learning how to program your griddle ensures top‑quality food every time. In this guide, we’ll walk you step‑by‑step through how to program an AccuTemp AccuSteam griddle so you can maximize efficiency, maintain food safety, and keep your equipment performing at its best.

This guide is applicable for the G2 line of AccuSteam gas and electric models including GG24A, GG36A, GG48A, GG24B, GG36B, GG48B, PG24A, PG36A, PG48A, PG24B, PG36B, PG48B, EGF24A, EGF36A, EGF48A, EGF24B, EGF36B and EGF48B.

How to Access Manager’s Mode

  • Step 1—Press and hold the DOWN arrow and ASTERISK buttons at the same time for about 8 seconds. All LEDs will blink when you’ve accessed setup mode.
  • Step 2—Use the up and down arrow buttons to cycle through the various programs:
    • Program #1: Default Cook Temperature
    • Program #2: Display Mode preferences (i.e. “rdY” vs. actual temperature)

Setting Preset Temperatures in Manager’s Mode

  • Step 1—Press the ASTERISK button or one of the preset keys to adjust the temperature up and down.
  • Step 2—Once you’ve reached your desired temperature, press and hold the PRESET button of the setting you want to change (PRESET TEMP 1 or PRESET TEMP 2). The new temperature will be saved, and you’ll exit Manager’s Mode.

How to Change Preset Temperatures

The AccuSteam griddle comes with two different preset temperatures for convenient cooking. PRESET TEMP 1 is set to 375° F (190° C), and PRESET TEMP 2 is set to 400° F (205° C). If you need to change the preset temperatures to better suit your kitchen’s needs, here are the steps to follow:

  • Step 1—Turn the unit on. Upon startup, the display will show the default temperature (350° F/175° C).
  • Step 2—Press and hold the UP arrow button until the temperature begins to increase.
  • Step 3—Use the UP and DOWN arrow buttons to adjust the temperature as needed.
  • Step 4—Once you’ve reached your desired temperature, press and hold the PRESET button of the setting you want to change (PRESET TEMP 1 or PRESET TEMP 2). The unit will then automatically shutdown to save the new setting.
  • Step 5—Turn the unit back on, then press and hold the same PRESET key for 3 seconds. The new setting is ready to be used.

How to Activate and Deactivate Set Temperature Lockout

The Set Temperature Lockout can be locked and unlocked in the Manager’s Mode or directly while the griddle is on.

Activating/Deactivating While Griddle is On

  • Step 1—Press and hold the ON/OFF and ASTERISK buttons together for 4 seconds.
    • NOTE—On some models, you will have to press the ON/OFF and DISPLAY TEMP keys. 
  • Step 2—After 4 seconds, the display will toggle between “Loc” and “ULoc.” Release the buttons when the display shows the state you wish to save.
  • Step 3—Once you’ve released the buttons to activate or deactivate the lockout, the new lockout state will be saved.

Activating/Deactivating While in Manager’s Mode

  • Step 1—Press and hold the DOWN arrow and ASTERISK buttons at the same time for about 8 seconds. All LEDs will blink when you’ve accessed setup mode.
  • Step 2—Use the up and down arrow buttons to cycle through the various programs until you reach “Set Temperature Lockout.”
  • Step 3—Use the ASTERISK or PRESET button to choose between “Loc” and “ULoc.” Select the state you wish to choose.
  • Step 4—Save the new lockout state by pressing the relevant PRESET or ON/OFF button.
