Lincoln Fusion conveyor toasters utilize advanced technology and straightforward design to deliver consistent cooking results. This guide is for 2030 and 2040 series models, including the 2030, 2032, 2040, 2041 and 2042.

Supplies

Routine Daily Cleaning

Perform light cleaning throughout the day to keep the unit tidy. Note that the following tasks can be completed without shutting down the machine.

  • Step 1. Wipe the belt (hourly or as needed) - Use a clean, damp cloth to remove deposits and crumbs from the conveyor belt throughout the day on an hourly or as needed basis while the unit is in operation.
  • Step 2. Brush the enter/exit trays - Remove loose crumbs by brushing them off the enter and exit trays.
  • Step 3. Keep the surrounding area clean - Make sure that the surrounding area is clean to ensure good airflow in and out of the machine.

Pre-Cleaning Procedure

Be sure to cool down the toaster before performing the deep cleaning procedure. 

  • Step 1. Turn off the toaster - Power down the machine by flipping the On/Off switch to the off position.
  • Step 2. Unplug the machine - Disconnect the unit from power by unplugging the power cord from the electrical outlet.
  • Step 3. Let the unit cool down for 30 minutes - Allow the cool-down fan to run and dissipate any remaining heat for 30 minutes. Once 30 minutes have elapsed, the timer will shut off the fan automatically.

Deep Cleaning Instructions

Don’t use harsh abrasives like steel wool or strong chemicals like caustics or alkalines since these may damage the unit.

  • Step 1. Maintain the exterior - Clean the exterior surfaces with warm water, mild detergent and a soft cloth. Be sure to rinse with a damp cloth and then dry thoroughly.
  • Step 2. Uninstall the crumb pans - Remove the crumb pans by sliding the outside pans from rails on the bottom of the conveyor frame first, then take out the center crumb pan.
  • Step 3. Clean the crumb pans - Wash the crumb pans with warm water, mild detergent and a soft cloth, then rinse and dry completely.
  • Step 4. Maintain the enter/exit trays - Clean the enter and exit trays with warm, soapy water and a soft cloth before rinsing and drying completely. Remember to clean the undersides by flipping them up to the vertical position.

Resuming Normal Operation

Make sure the toaster is reassembled properly before using it normally.

  • Step 1. Return detached parts to the machine - Reinstall the crumb pans in the unit; if the enter/exit trays were flipped vertically, return them to their usual position.
  • Step 2. Reconnect the unit to power - Restore the electrical connection by plugging in the power cord.
