Whalen Company Fan Coil Operating Instructions
Whalen Company fan coils are built for efficiency and versatility, making them powerful HVAC solutions for high-rise buildings. If you’re not sure how to use your equipment properly, these Whalen Company fan coil operating instructions explain the process clearly and concisely.
These directions are for Inteli-line® Vertical Stack and Innoline® Riser units.
- Step 1. Close windows and doors - Shut windows and doors before using the machine to decrease indoor humidity and improve unit efficiency.
- Step 2. Power on the unit - Activate the system by setting the fan speed switch to either the Hi or Low position, depending on how quickly you want to change the indoor temperature.
- Step 3. Adjust the temperature setting - Use the warmer/cooler dial to change the room temperature: “warmer” to increase the temperature and “cooler” to decrease it. For units with thermostats, use the thermostat to set the desired temperature.
- Step 4. Allow the unit to warm or cool the room - Give the machine time to change the ambient temperature. Water-based heating and cooling solutions change air temperatures more gradually than forced-air HVAC systems, so allow up to 30 minutes before changing the settings.
- Step 5. Modify the temperature setting as needed - Adjust the warmer/cooler dial or thermostat to raise or lower the indoor temperature as desired.
