How to Clean a Perlick Glass Froster

  • Step 1 - Power down the unit and unplug it.
  • Step 2 - While it’s closed, lift upward by the handle and slide forward to remove the doors.
  • Step 3 - Check the doors for any syrup or debris build-up.
  • Step 4 - If the doors are dirty, use dish soap and thoroughly rinse them with a damp cloth. Wait for the doors to air dry.
  • Step 5 - Clean the cabinet breaker strips with dish soap. Thoroughly rinse them with a damp cloth. Allow the breaker strips to air dry.
  • Step 6 - Once the doors and breaker strips are completely dry, lubricate them with an NSF certified silicone lubricating material.
  • Step 7 - Clean the cabinet interior with dish soap, then thoroughly rinse with a damp cloth. Wait for the cabinet interior to air dry.
  • Step 8 - Clean the cabinet exterior with dish soap, then thoroughly rinse with a damp cloth.
    • Note: For units with stainless steel, use stainless steel cleaner and a soft cloth instead.
  • Step 9 - Reinstall the doors.
  • Step 10 - Plug the unit back into the outlet.
  • Step 11 - At the end of the day, defrost the unit using the switch or digital controller (depending on the model).
