Maintaining & Replacing Trane Rooftop AC Filters
Filters need to be maintained or replaced monthly to ensure the AC unit can have proper airflow.
- Step 1 - Turn the unit off.
- Step 2 - Remove the panel that covers the filter compartment.
- Step 3 - Being careful not to drop them into the cabinets, lift up the bar and remove the filters.
- Step 4 - Check the filters for any damage or dirt. Reusable filters can be rinsed with water if they’re not damaged.
- Step 5 - Reinstall the filter and make sure the arrows are facing the direction of airflow. Make sure to date and initial the filter before installing.
- Step 6 - Reinstall the panel back onto the unit.
